John Christopher McGinley (born August 3, 1959) is an American actor, writer, producer, author, and spokesman. His best known TV roles are as Dr. Perry Cox on Scrubs, Bob Slydell on Office Space, Stanley Miller on Stan Against Evil, Remington Stewart Mansfield on Ground Floor, Fake Dan on Dan vs., and serial killer Edgler Foreman Vess on the TV miniseries Intensity, based on the novel by Dean Koontz. His best known film roles are as Captain Hendrix in The Rock, Sergeant Red O'Neill in Oliver Stone's Platoon, Marv in Stone's Wall Street, FBI agent Ben Harp in Point Break.
