60 y.o. (born Oct 30, 1954, died Nov 28, 2014)
Dr. Geek (born Wilbur Johnson) was a widely-known street performer in Hollywood and Venice Beach and at many Los Angeles-area sporting events, known for his “wordology” skills - funky off-the-cuff raps often incorporating the names of people he was talking to - that he honed selling ice cream on the streets of his hometown of Detroit. Dr. Geek had a stint as a radio personality at LA's famous KROQ-FM, and made guest appearances in several TV series and on late-night TV talk shows such as Jimmy Kimmel, and appeared in BluBlocker sunglasses ads, resulting in the nickname “BluBlocker Man." Dr. Geek died on November 28, 2014.
